Summer of 2000

Tom and Carla and family came for the July 4 week. It was Austin's fourth birthday. Charlie prepared his train set for the grandkids, and as usual, we all enjoyed Alberta's yearly July 4 party.

In August, Laura came with Michael, David and Kate. Judy Osborne and Patrick joined in for the first part of the week, and Laura Jones and Aletha Fahringer also made a stop on their way to Boston, driving a U Haul truck (long story).  It was wonderful to reconnect with the branch of our family with whom I have always felt so close.
